Colnago

Colnago is called the bikes Ferrari, Colnago was founded by Ernesto Colnago in Cambiago Italy in 1954.  By 1960 a Colango was being ridden to a gold medal in the Rome Olympics.  Through the 1960's and 1970's Colnago was well known as one of the greatest custom race bike builders in the world and many professional cyclists went to Colango for their race bicycles - though many would be painted in the name of the brand for whom the racer rode for.  Colnago was also the first to introduce straight blade forks, known as the "Precisa" fork which was supposed to improve stiffness for sprints.

Wheels

Wheels finished and on, fit with Continental GrandPrix 4000S

Polishing

Today start to polish the wheels and sadel.

The Electa sadel with air controlled padding system, was produced from 1986, by a company by the name Fugazzi, who had produced some saddles with their own name prior to the Campagnolo production. (velobase)

Wheels arrived

Got the wheels today, Campagnolo Shamal :-)
Shamal was the top of the line aluminum low spoke count wheelset from Campagnolo during the 1990's.  Bora's were above these (carbon), Vento and Zonda below.

Rear derailleur

Rear derailleur polished and installed today, the last part of the Chorus group, this version of Chorus if about 1995.

Since the late 1980's Campagnolo's Chorus group has been the second to the top rung on the Campagnolo road group ladder.  Fit and finish is nearly Record quality, and often only a few minor design changes separate it from the Record counterpart.
